What better way to celebrate 30 years of the Commodore and the 60th anniversary of the FX Holden. Be sure to pencil in the dates for next years show:

This years show once again had a fantastic turn out of cars from across the globe and throughout the eras. As in previous years the event was free to the public which made it a great day out for families and individuals and the weather kept up it's side of the bargain by making it a beautiful day to be out.
The 2009 Classic Car Show will be held:

The Geraldton weather turned on a great day for the 2008 Mid West Show and Shine and Maitland Park was a lovely back drop to the vast turnout of local and out of town cars and bikes. Families took full advantage of the day with food stalls, kid’s activities and family fun, and for the car enthusiast there were trade displays and a Dyno Shootout to compliment the many cars and bikes on show. The Miss Show & Shine entrants were out in force mingling with the crowd and helping with the charity fund raising auction.
The Mid West Show & Shine is a great day out and the show committee should be congratulated for their efforts in making the show bigger and better each year. So if you are looking at travelling out of town on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, then the Geraldton Mid West Show and Shine is highly recommended.
The 2009 Mid West Show & Shine will be held on Sunday 27th, September 2009
Barbagallo Raceway in Perth, Western Australia hosted Powercruise 15 for the first time ever and what a turnout of cars it was! Though it was cloudy the rain stayed away, with the only clouds seen around the track being the smoke pouring off the tyres as the guys and girls were out on the track during the show events. Some big horsepower engines showed the watching crowd that you don’t need to put your brakes on to do some huge tyre smok’n burnouts. Off the street racing saw one of the largest turn outs of cars in the events history, and the cruising event around the track saw everyone out there having a great time.
Another scorchingly fun weekend at the Perth Motorplex! Hey, it just wouldn't be January for motoring fans unless you were covered in sunscreen and that lovely burnt rubber smell :)
There was a sensational display of cars on show in the elite pavilion and a huge turn out of vehicles of all shapes, sizes and brands in the main pit area.
By the end of the weekend there were of course a fine selection of sore heads and mechanical mishaps as well!
If you love creations from the General's stable you would have been in 7th heaven! Speaking of heaven, there was just enough rain on and off throughout the day to boost chamios sales and make everybody duck for cover.
On show was a fantastic range of new and old Holden, Chevs, Buicks and more.....
